thought for today

Anger is not bad. Anger can be a very positive thing, the thing that moves us beyond the acceptance of evil.

- Joan Chittister, OSB

This may be true. But there is a danger in anger too if one is not careful. It can turn into just plain hatred.

I read this and felt similarly. Over the years, learning about my anger and how to integrate it has helped me - and those around me - greatly.

I think however we tend to polarize, as with most things, and anger is one polarity and niceness is the other.

I guess it is righteous and healthy anger we must seek, the anger that is about justice and not about hate. The one that helps the many and not the one that hurts.

That stills seems a challenge - no?

It sure is Fran! I think it is a challenge we all have to be looking for and dealing with in our lives.
