And those who lose the most are the children, the poor and the vulnerable. You know, I really wonder why this vestige (war) of our humanness is still so strong in us. (Collectively "us"). I'd like to think the human race has evolved (?) to a higher consciousness, but really all we've done is become far more efficient at slaughtering one another in the most inhumane ways possible. And so that's MY dark thought for the day! Kathy

Unfortunately I think you are absolutely correct. It seems that our species just becomes more and more efficient at war and killing.
