All the destruction that has happened in the past few days, particularly in Myanmar and China, with tens of thousands dead and hundreds of thousands displaced sort of make my struggles and issues seem minor in comparison. It is an opportunity for me to reflect on the many blessings I have received from God, not because I have done anything to deserve them, but just because God has been gracious to me. While the possible impending loss of Emma (which is seems nothing but a miracle will change) and with my recent resignation as rector from my parish are all painful and distressing, I'm still blessed in spite of my pain.
I encourage you to go to Episcopal Relief and Development and give generously to the work of helping those so recently struck by tragedy's of such huge impact that my mind simply cannot imagine the breadth of destruction.
